Rare matched pair of Scottish Provincial silver & bovine horn napkin rings, c.1900. Measures about 1-3/4” diameter by 1-1/4” wide.

In very good condition with some use related marks and wear -1 has a small chip on one edge, some scratches & wear to the high spots of its silver thistle applique. This is also how I know it is solid silver - if it was silver plated, the plating would have been worn down to reveal the base metal beneath. Compare it with the other ring which wasn’t used as much and is in better condition. As it is, it is rare to find a matched pair of this iconic thistle theme.
