Whant sets the Amphibia apart is its unique approach to achievingwater resistance.Instead of using more gaskets and tightening the case,as was common Western designs, the Amphibia uses a case-back system that increases water resistance with increasing pressure. This innovative design allows the watch to be rated up to 200 meters,which was quite an achievement at the time.

The Amphibia watches are also known for their  robustness and reliability. They feature automatic and manual windings movements and are designed to withstand the rigors of diving conditions.
