PICTURE OF THE WEEK: or Gregory Colbert has devoted years of his life to capturing--in images up to 10 feet high---the animals that roam the Earth and swim in its seas. Two hundred of his stirring pic-tures--of elephants, whales, tigers--are currently on view in the exhibit "Ashes and Snow" at the Nomadic Museum, constructed atop a pier on New York City's Hudson River, On June 7, the structure--what Colbert calls a "temple for nature," built of recycled materials and shipping containers--will be dismantled, and the art will set sail for I.A., where another makeshift museum will rise.
