This mower starts right up, runs, drives and cuts. It does have some rust and could use some TLC. The covers over the blades have rust. The seat isn't too bad but it does have some small holes, although it is weathered and the vinyl is stiff so it should be replaced. I purchased this from a government agency and there wasn't a battery installed. I installed a regular car battery I had and now it starts right up and runs well usually. The battery really should be replaced with the correct size because the hood is rubbing on it and it also makes opening the hood difficult. There are issues starting it at times because the fuel solenoid doesn't always get power. I can always get it started but sometimes takes a little finesse. The blades don't always engage but this is caused by some out of adjustment controls. There is a toggle switch that is moved by one of the control levers, but it is out of adjustment.. I can reach under the controls and manually hold the toggle switch and the blades will work. As I stated earlier, this mower needs some TLC. This is the reason for it being listed as "parts or not working". The Yanmar diesel engine runs strong. The rear tire slowly loses air. These are things you probably wouldn't see if you came and looked at it, but I am not looking to surprise anybody in a negative way. The hydraulic filter probably needs to be replaced, and I had plans to do that but never did. I do have the ridiculously overpriced OEM John Deere filter that will be included if you remind me to give it to you when you pickup the mower.
The hydraulics appear to work as they should allowing the blades to engage, the mower to drive and steer with power steering, and the decks to raise and lower.
The current photos are terrible. We had a tremendous amount of rain and I needed to drive through my muddy yard to get this in the shop, so there is mud everywhere. I believe this is a Yanmar 4TN82 engine based on what I have read, but I cannot confirm that. This mower is extremely wide even with the wings folded up as in the current photos. My trailer has 78" between the rails and this isn't  even close to fitting on it. Feel free to ask any questions and request additional info or photos. I will do my best to provide any info needed. I live in Waxhaw, NC just outside of Charlotte, NC.
