Works with included power adapter but does not work with batteries.  The battery compartment has very bad corrosion caused from the batteries being left in the unit & there is damage to the box on the bottom, for this reason this is being SOLD AS IS NO RETURNS. 

From the top of the unit this looks great & works perfectly with the power adapter plugged in.
