Possibly one of a kind, extremely early R.O.J. Royal Order Of Jesters Mirth Is King belt buckle. Found some years ago in an auction buy out box of items that dates from 1895-1930.

I do not know the exact metal the buckle is made of, but it’s non magnetic except for the loop the belt goes through. The buckle measures 2 1/2” inches width and 1 5/8” widest point. It’s in original found condition, original patina. I have not cleaned in any way. The colors are vibrant and almost have a golden glow against the deep red. On the back there is a hallmark with USA inside it. Please see pics to judge condition, it’s in really excellent shape.

I am no expert, but my best estimation is this buckle dates from the 1920s or 1930s. Maybe someone else has one or one could reside in the R.O.J. Museum in Indiana???

I’ve done many searches and could never find an exact match. This buckle is a real rarity and a very very early on, in the existence of the R.O.J. !
