This is a professionally made set to represent the 11.48am service from Plymouth to London Waterloo operated in the late 1950's / early 1960's.
LOCOMOTIVE
For REPAIR
The locomotive has been from a white metal kit with an etched brass tender by DJH or similar.
The locomotive is fitted with a Kemilway compensating Nickel Silver chassis and powered by a Portescap RG4 motor and gearbox.
Both locomotive rear drive pins need to be replaced to hold the connecting rods properly. They did stay on the shafts on test and will probably work on flat surfaces. Turned on the side one will fall off. Its a simple fix and one that needs doing.
COACHES
This is a professionally assembled and painted rake of coaches from Southern Pride Models and Bachmann.
The coach roofs have been lightly weathered and there may be the odd light mark.
All coaches are made from plastic kits with with fully detailed interiors and chassis.
The GUV parcels coach has been modified from a Bachmann base coach.
A fabulous matched coach set to run with the locomotive.
Comes in the storage box shown.
