This is an original antique black porcelain enameled cast iron heat register or stove grate with cutout sunbeam pattern. It is very sturdy, solid cast iron with heavy porcelain finish. There is very little damage anywhere and almost no surface rust visible from the front, but the back side has some surface rust and pitting consistent with age. There are no cracks, repairs, or other major damage.
