PICTURE OF THE WEEK: What do you give a guy who has everything? That was the question last month as Thailand's King Bhumihol Adulyadej prepared to celebrate his sixtieth year on the throne. An international group of skydivers decided to align with parachutists from the Royal Thai Armed Forces for a unique tribute: a world record. On a beautiful day in Bangkok, more than a dozen airplanes, flying at an altitude of 10,500 feet, dropped 960 divers from 31 countries into a mass free fall (a record-breaker, they're pretty sure). For nearly 15 minutes, men and women were raining from the sky. Afterward, team leader Rusty Vest described the feat poetically: "We created a kind of continuous waterfall of divers." PHOTOGRAPH BY DANIEL RAMSBOTT.
