Leighton

Large batch of photos (almost 400), photo albums, ephemera, from family of David Leighton & Philip Dionne of Milbridge, Maine and Gardiner, Maine.  From the estate of Corinne (Leighton) Dionne of Gardiner.

Some genealogy:  Corinne (1927-2023) was the daughter of David Leighton (1883-1953) and Marjorie (Hinckley) (later she married Edward McManus).  Corinne graduated from Gardiner High School in 1945 and married Philip Dionne and lived in Gardiner, near her mother.  They had one son, Norman, born in 1948.  Corinne had a brother, Spencer (1924-2015) who lobstered with his father out of Milbridge, Maine and Pigeon Hill Cove.  I’ll go through and make a listing of the loose photos and ephemera, and a second listing of the photos in the two large albums.

Photos are all corner-mounted, not glued in.  I didn’t take them out to see if there were more captions on their backs.  Almost all in good shape.  Will be listing more family albums, mostly of vacations taken 1950s-90s, later on ebay.  This lot weighs over 6 pounds.
