Here is a Lionel 6-38572 NYC Non-Powered Scale RF-16 Sharknose Diesel B-Unit #3709. Styled after Pennsylvania’s T-1 turbine steam locomotive, Baldwin produced over 150 RF-16 locomotives for just a few years in the early 1950s. These 1600-horsepower cab-units were known for excellent performance, with many serving into the 1960s.

This item has been graded per TCA standards C-6: Very Good based on visual appearance. Large roof piece is missing and not included. There are light nicks, scratches, and spots of surface rust on this item. Additionally, some of the step pieces are bent. Body has a few light spots of paint wear and chips. Light dust and residue is present on the body so the overall appearance of this item may be improved with a gentle and thorough cleaning. The wheels show signs of wear from previous use. One of the black sections of the underside fuel tank is broken off and taped back on. The original box is not included. Check the photos for a detailed look at this item.
