This antique-vintage fife is a beautiful piece made of metal and a second material measuring 14.25 inches long and featuring six raised fingerholes. The mouthpiece could be gutta percha, rubber or bakelite. A clamp on mouthpiece is included.  It was my mother's and dates from the 1940's or earlier.  The nickle plating is worn off in some areas showing a copper or brass core. Similar in design to a Cloos 205 or Polk A-200 metal fife. The instrument has a rich history and would make a great addition to any vintage woodwind collection.
