This is a new, open box ceiling fan with light.  Rated as "new" because it has never been installed.  This fan was prepped for installation and has some writing on the unit that you will see in the pictures.  The writing is not visible on the installed fan.  I guarantee that this unit is not DOA or you will get your money back if it is.  You will also see in the pictures that a small weight was added to the fan closure to improve performance.
