We are selling a large quantity of Charoite beads for a friend who was in the jewellery trade but has retired. Charoite is a rare mineral only found in the Chara River valley of Siberia. It was exported in small quantities up to around 1990 but apparently is no longer. This supply has come from a source in Amritsar and was bought around that time and has been sitting in a carboard box ever since! Unlike the majority of Charoite beads on ebay at the moment, these have not been dyed, their colour being completely natural.

To help buyers each lot is photographed with a label to explain what it is (see pics). This particularly attractive lot is for 30mm x 22mm oval beads about 45 cms long and weighing a hefty 104grams. As you can see, one of the beads (at 7 o’clock) has some damage to its side so I have included two smaller ovals to compensate which can be threaded adjacent to the clasp. Ideal for necklace making.

Happy to combine lots.
