Here we have an interesting antique brass mount.

As you will see in the images it has two feet, it would appear it once sat on another item. A  very similar design (I have seen a very similar design but not the exact one on a 19th century inkwell). I am however not convinced that this one came from an inkwell but that could be the case.

It would make a very nice wall mounted or furniture or door mounted display piece or could be sat on a fireplace mantle which is where we had it.
