Includes a scale for adjusting valve timing.
The scale is a vernier type (the same type as calipers) and can be adjusted in increments of 1 degree for crank angle (0.5 degree for cam angle).
High-strength duralumin A-7075 is used for both the outer pulley and inner plate. The hard anodizing process on top of that realizes high precision, ultra-light weight, and high rigidity.
High precision
Unlike conventional sintered alloy outer pulleys, all pulleys are machined from raw materials to achieve a high-precision pulley center. In addition, a vernier type scale is used to adjust the crank angle by 1 degree (0.5 degree for cam angle) to suit the actual application.
Super lightweight
Super duralumin A-7075 has been used for the cam pulley inner plate, and the same material has been newly used for the outer pulley section, which has a large inertia mass. This material is also used for the outer pulley, which has a large mass of inertia, to achieve a significant weight reduction. This contributes to a reduction in the burden on the rotary motion part.
High rigidity
The use of ultra super duralumin A-7075 material for the outer pulley and inner plate increases the rigidity of the pulley as a whole and improves valve timing accuracy when using high-lift camshafts and reinforced valve springs. In consideration of timing belt applications, the surface has been treated with hard anodized aluminum. This contributes to improved wear resistance of the belt contact surface and prevents sinking of the locking bolt.
