The red color from the inserted fabric and bows has bled onto the white fabric in a couple of places on the front , see photo.
This dress is the bomb! So cute, the print is a stiffer cotton and the bodice black fabric is also cotton but a smoother weave.
The sleeves easily hold their Pouff and they are adorned with the red bows, like the skirt.
This has a dropped waist and underneath is a lining and crinolin. There are 6 support stays around the torso for shape. These are sewn into the dress seams and the dress bodice is fully lined.
The large puffed sleeves can be worn up or down on the shoulder.
This dress is impeccably tailored, as all of designer V Costa dresses were at that time.
