Charles AHRENFELDT nacido en Alemania en 1807, fué un artista que comenzó importando porcelana a  Nueva York en los años 30. Mas tarde se estableció en París y entre 1859 y finales de la década de 1860  en Limoges, dónde prospero mucho.

Sobre el1884, también comenzó a decorar la porcelana y fundó su fábrica . Su hijo, Charles J. Ahrenfeldt (1856-1934), continuó su labor
