This is a lovely Victorian, 3 part, Dome top BUTTER DISH - complete with the original glass liner/drain.
The base is footed with handles on either side and has a beautifully decorated interior under the glass - a garden scene featuring a Cherub, butterflies, flowers and Strawberries!
The dome shaped lid is impressive - embossed with a 1" high ornate band of flowers around the bottom edge - alternating panels of flowers & open cartouches around the body - topped with a fancy finial.
