For all the lovers of the HBO series The Deuce : This painting offers a glimpse into Times Square in NYC circa 1970-80. Maggie Gyllenhaal or James Franco should own this painting, which depicts a scene of the grit and grime on the streets of Times Square as it was in the 1980s. REALLY SPECTACULAR! Mahaffey was best known for his hyperrealistic urban scene paintings. This is a fine example of his work with a fantastic subject and a nice provenance label. My price of $9999 is extremely reasonable and far below what one would be expected to pay for it in a gallery or at auction.

Biography:
Noel Mahaffey was born in St. Augustine, Florida, in 1944 and attended art classes at the Dallas Museum of Fine Arts in 1959. He studied at the Pennsylvania Academy from 1962 to 1966 and continues to reside in Philadelphia. As a product of the Academy's art instruction, he demonstrates that the realist tradition can be effectively linked to New Realism.
