He served as the head of the design department at Mitsukoshi Kimono Store (later Mitsukoshi Department Store) from 1908 (Meiji 41) until 1934 (Showa 9), where he created numerous designs for the store's posters and PR magazines. Additionally, he worked on various posters, magazine covers, and book covers outside of Mitsukoshi, leading Japanese design from the late Meiji period to the middle of the Showa era. Hisui's glamorous and modern designs continue to captivate us today.
