Laowa 12-24mm f/5.6 Zoom

The 12-24mm f/5.6 zoom is an ultra-wide zoom lens designed for mirrorless cameras. With an angle of view from 84° to 121°, the lens can be very useful for multiple scenarios. It also has a fixed f/5.6 maximum aperture throughout the whole zoom range which gives the photographer much greater control over the photo. The lens is relatively lightweight in its class. It is compressed to be around 3.3″/ 84mm long and weighs about 1.09lbs/ 497g. The lens is also compatible with 77mm filters (With the lens hood) and has a 15cm close-focusing distance. Easily creating interesting shots with good background separation. Like many of the Laowa lenses, this wide-angle lens also renders stunning 10-point sunstars.

12-24mm zoom range
With a zoom range of 84° to 121.9°, this lens offers great flexibility when shooting. The zoom ring is smooth to operate, allowing you to smoothly adjust the angle of view. The 12-24mm zoom range is ideal for landscape and travel photography.

 

Although this lens is not part of the LAOWA Zoro-D series, it offers excellent performance with minimal distortion. It allows you to take advantage of the flexibility that zoom lenses offer, which is very useful when shooting architectural and interior photography.

F5.6 maximum aperture
Despite its compact size, the lens also offers excellent performance in providing a constant aperture value that does not change with focal length. When changing focal lengths, the depth of field can be more appropriately adjusted; combined with the very close minimum focusing distance of 15 cm, the shallow depth of field allows for interesting shots that emphasize the subject. This performance is also advantageous when shooting dreary zoomed-in and zoomed-out videos where the exposure does not change as you zoom in and out.

Short Minimum Focusing Distance
This lens offers a very short minimum focusing distance in the 12-24mm lens market. It can focus at a distance of only 15 cm from the sensor, allowing for more creative photography.

Convenient filter thread
The lens hood has a filter thread for 77mm filters. Attaching this lens hood to the lens eliminates the need for a filter holder, making it ideal as a travel lens.

Water & Dust Repellent "Frog Eye" Coating
The lens surface is coated with "Frog Eye" coating (FEC), which provides water and dust repellency. Compared to conventional coatings, an additional layer of protection is added to the lens.

The aperture blades are composed of five elements. This produces a beautiful and attractive 10-point light beam.
