Size: the printed area measures approximately 203mm x 143mm, (the entire sheet measures approximately 242mm x 180mm).

Description: an original, antique, hand-coloured strip road map showing part of the road from London to Portsmouth. Drawn on a scale of 1 inch to 1 mile, it includes details of Seats of the nobility and gentry, as well as notable topographical features and settlements along the route. 

The road passes through numerous places including: London, Wandsworth, Wimbledon Park, Richmond Park, Kingston, Thames Ditton.

This is a relatively rare antique road map as it was not published in numerous editions such as those by some of Mogg's contemporaries. Ideally suited for framing and display, if desired.

Condition: Very good condition. Hand coloured. Several tiny nicks to the extreme edge of the sheet where it was originally bound into the source publication (well away from the printed area). Please study all the photographs carefully to fully appreciate the condition.
