Excellent restored antique condition!
Freshly rewired with vintage style cloth cord, and working well.
The brass fixture, ceiling canopy and HEAVY solid brass chain have been polished to bring out their original shine.
The brass has no cracks, gouges or dents.
The shade holder has an antique gold painted finish just below the brass fixture, with light wear to the paint here or there - nothing noticeable when in use (see closeups).
The glass has no chips or cracks - just a few tiny, faint marks and bubbles from the original glass-making process. What an amazing beauty!
She uses one standard-base light bulb up to 60 watts because it's enclosed, or we suggest you use an LED bulb for any brightness you like, as they use low wattage for bright light.
We will include an LED bulb for your first use. :)
Ceiling mount screws not included.
This beautiful antique is from a large antique lighting collection in Fenton, Michigan - see and watch our store for more from this fantastic collection. Here are details about the restorer:
The late Bob Daly was a marathon runner and worked in his family's burglar alarm business until he started his own antique lighting restoration business in Fenton, Michigan in the 1980's: "Historic Lighting Restoration Services and Sales". He was restoring antique lighting for almost 40 years. This beautiful light was thoughtfully and skillfully restored by Bob to the tiniest detail. From new wiring to cleaning to touching up, buffing and polishing, Bob was a master at the details. He loved what he did and was excited to share these restored works of art with the next generation (see a newspaper article picture of him in photo #21). He worked with loving care, and you can be proud to own one of his restorative works of art. We are certainly proud to have acquired his amazing collection, as we also restore and sell antique lighting and love to share it with all of you who want true antique pieces that have historic personality in your homes and buildings. Many thanks to Bob's wife, Luce, for contacting us and allowing us to share his collection with the world! :)
