Up for sale is this vintage Humbucker Bridge pickup. This pickup has Trembucker spacing. This pickup was pulled from a 80’s made in Japan Kramer Focus Series guitar.

There are a few visible scratches on the top bobbin which can be seen in the pics provided. However nothing major as you can see. Just a few scratches from typical use over the course of 35 + years.

I’m not 100% sure what brand of pickup was used in these early Kramer Focus Japanese made guitars. There’s been speculation that they used Gotoh, sone say Schaller but I know they used Schaller pickups in the American models and then later they switched to Seymour Duncan pickups. But as far as the Japanese focus series I’m not sure. However I know that at one point they used early Seymour Duncan JAM pickups but this one has different wire colors than those early JAM pickups so not exactly sure. However this is the original pickup that was factory installed in the Focus guitar I removed it from.

Either way this pickup sounds great and functions as designed. This pickup has pole spacing that is the same exact spacing as what would later be referred to as Trembucker spacing set by Seymour Duncan.

Other than the wire colors using Orange & Brown as opposed to Green & White, everything else about this pickup looks like a very early Seymour Duncan JAM pickup though I cannot prove it. There’s just not a lot of information out there about these early Focus series guitars pickups. The third circle, on the face of the bobbin, is in a square which is a identifying mark of the vintage Pickup wiring machine Seymour Duncan purchased from Gibson back in the late 70’s and is still used to this day. The early trembucker pole spacing. The reading is the same as the JAM pickups. Not sure if the wiring color was changed by Seymour Duncan to differentiate the product line of these OEM pickups or not.

Because I cannot verify the manufacturer of this pickup other than the model guitar it was removed from I am listing this pickup as “GENERIC”.

So you are buying a vintage early Kramer Focus Series Guitar stock bridge pickup. Manufacturer unknown. Whoever Kramer used at the time for the Japanese Focus Series Guitar line.

The bridge Pickup reads 9.62k ohm on my meter and the lead wire is just over 7 inches long. Pickup will mount to a pickup mounting ring or a pick guard or can be drilled out for direct body mounting if you so desire.

(SCREWS & SPRINGS NOT INCLUDED)
