FIRST EDITION OF THE TASHA TUDOR EDITION with ERROR on the dust jacket!
The Secret Garden by Frances Hodgson Burnett pictures by Tasha Tudor 1962 J.B. Lippincott Company. Hardback book with dust jacket. This is the first edition of the Tasha Tudor Edition (NOT to be confused with the first edition of the book which was published in 1911).
The back flap of the jacket states "...until her death in 1921 she wrote...". Burnett actually died in 1924 and that error was corrected in later printings.
The jacket is NOT price-clipped but the price has been marked out. There are small chips/tears and some light dampstaining to the spine. This is really just a good plus jacket. I've added a fresh mylar cover to preserve the condition.
The book is sturdy, clean and complete with some edgewear (see photos). Very clean and neat inside with no tears and no writing.
