The leather-bound book includes 20 lectures on the histology of medicine, written in English. The book is illustrated and numbered, making it a special addition to any collection. It was published by Leslie B. Adams Jr. in Birmingham, AL in 1978.

The book features a fine leather binding, gold guilt page edges, beautifully marbled end papers and is a limited numbered, 12,284, facsimile print of the original from 1860 in London.

Both the front and back covers do have loss of the gold leaf used on the leather as pictured.
