Great and rare Jacques Villon stone lithograph from magazine. Topic is a solider mistaking the milkman for carrying artillery shells. Commentary on the milk scandal in France at the turn of the century. The work is double sided. On the back is another work by H. Gerbault. This one is in color. The title is "Regime Lacte." Real bizzare image of a French woman with her breasts hanging out and a sick man on the couch. A politician is pointing out the breasts to depict that the tainted milk is making the man sick. The sick man has no choice but to drink the milk that is causing his illness. The size of the work is  about 9.25X11.5 inches. Great coloration. Would look wonderful in a frame. With the mat it is 15X17.5 inches.

Good luck, please check out my other great art and antiques in my eBay store. Thanks!
