This is a Rapido Trains 200002 HO Scale Penn Central TurboTrain Set - Diesel Passenger PDC-28 #52, PDC-29 #53, IC-29 #71.On December 20, 1967, the United Aircraft TurboTrain reached a record-shattering 170.8mph on the Pennsylvania Railroad in New Jersey. To this day, this is still the fastest speed ever achieved by a production train in North America. Rapido Trains Inc. is proud to preset the first-ever accurate model of this unique train in any scale. Each train features one Intermediate Car and two Power Dome Car locomotives. For speed and reliability, both engines are powered, and both have sound decoders (sounds include turbines, bell, doors, station announcements and the unit's distinctive horns, all taken from prototype recordings) and speakers. More Intermediate Cars are available to make a longer train. Several different Coach, Café and Club cars are available, depending on the choice of paint scheme. The TurboTrain operates with or without sound on both DC and DCC. The TurboTrain comes with numerous factory-applied detail parts; working full-width diaphragms, full interior lighting, constant directional headlights and operating Gyralites, a decal sheet with additional logos and car numbers, a 48-page, full-color book on the history of the TurboTrain featuring dozens of never-before-published photographs and a hand-held controller for operating the train sounds in DC. The TurboTrain features interior detail that has rarely been attempted in HO Scale including padded armrests, faucets in the bathroom sinks, gauges in the engineman's cab, and a microwave behind the counter in the café car. The models are fully prototype-specific, with three different Power Dome Car designs represented and five Intermediate Car styles available. Minimum radius is 18 without diaphragms, 24 with diaphragms. These items have been graded per TCA standards C-8: Like New. These items appear to have been run sparingly, and display overall signs of very light previous use. The original paint is in great shape, and each unit displays a like-new overall finish. The instruction manual is included. The original box is included. Domestic Customers: If you and Trainz decide that the best recourse is to return the item for refund or repair we will send you a pre-paid return call tag at no cost (except for returns due to customer remorse). Make sure to include your contact and order information when you return your items. Once Trainz receives and inspects the items we will repair your item or issue a refund.
International Customers: Before selecting 'Return this item' through eBay, please consider contacting Trainz first by selecting 'Contact Seller' under 'More actions' and give us an opportunity to resolve your issue. Once you select 'Return this item', the action is final and you will be dealing directly with eBay from that point on. You will be required to ship the item to an eBay-designated return center.
