Very heavy architectural salvage gilt bronze carp salvaged from a 19th century Brooklyn NY townhouse garden. Ornate fish with finely detailed fins and eyes has lotus flowers spewing from mouth. That’s where the water came out. Stands 20” tall ( doesn’t stand on its own without a pebble under tail because fountain connector is on bottom) by 9” by 6” and weighs a good 25 lbs. missing one flower head. Lays for display as well. It’s a stunning bronze architectural fountain feature. Circa 1880-90, traces it gilding throughout. Pictures don’t do this piece justice.
