1950's Montblanc Celluloid 149 Fountain Pen

Description

A lovely example of a vintage Montblanc's 149 pen.

Made from celluloid, with silver rings to the cap.

The body with the seldom seen imprint; "IMPORTE D'ALLEGMAGE".

With ski slope feed and telescoping filler mechanism.

The nib looks to me to be an oblique fine.

A lovely example of an early 149 pen.

Condition

In good vintage condition.

There are various scratches and signs of use.

A few of the threads show some some wear, see pic 11.

Feed and nib in good condition.

Telescoping mechanism moves up and down freely.

Pen sucks and expells ink without issues.

Silver rings are quite tight.

Star to cap shows a nice mellow colour.

Overall a very handsome pen.
