Natural Druzy Agate

Black Tourmaline

This brilliant new design is a dream-child of mine. I wanted the two stones to touch inside the fancy frame I created.
Druzy (sometimes spelled Druse) looks like a dusting of tiny super-fine points formed a blanket of
sparkly micro-crystals that twinkle! It is VERY special!!! The
Drusy Agate in this pendant has lots of little dots that are black, and
naturally included. Some of the dots are larger and submerged below the
surface, which gives it a cool 3D effect. It is totally mesmerizing when
this pendant twinkles in light. The sparkles of the Drusy Agate twinkle like
fairy dust as it is tilted back and forth. The diamond-like pinpoint
flashes of this stone also remind me of stars in the sky, a constellation,
crystalline frost, and of a fancy evening dress or a formal gown.
Speaking of which, I truly can visualize this pendant on someone who is wearing
an evening gown and going to the opera!
Metaphysical Properties of Natural Druzy (Druse) Agate (top):
Druse symbolizes beginning of
awakening and growth. Druse is for beginning new projects (take baby steps).
Druse is for recapturing a sense of childlike wonder. Druse is a good choice
for anyone who feels small, unimportant or alone sometimes. Agate is said to
stimulate mental precision. Agate can provide abundance and fullness in our
lives. Agate strengthens perceptiveness. Agate awakens our inherent talents.
Agate is said to produce inspiration from the spiritual world.
I really love using Black Tourmaline cabs that still retain a bit of surface characteristics so that I KNOW it's real stone. I love selecting cabochons in person at gem/jewelry/mineral shows.
Metaphysical Properties
of Black Tourmaline (bottom):
Black Tourmaline not only repels and
protects from negativity, it also protects against being victimized by the
negative energy of another person. The grounding provided by Black Tourmaline
is supposed to be so powerful that it grounds the root chakra to the center of
the Earth! On a personal note, here's a bit about what I think of Black
Tourmaline. It's one of the most effective stones to wear during
PMS!!!!! Also, if you ever go into a rock shop or a gem show, please wear
Black Tourmaline. It will keep you from getting dizzy or floaty from all
the energies that surround you when you're in the immediate area of massive
quantities of crystals/gems/minerals/stones. I believe it is an absolute
necessity for grounding. Period. Black Tourmaline helps to keep up
our spirits even if we're in a situation that is "doom and gloom".
Black Tourmaline is great for awakening altruism and enhancing practicality in
creativity. Black Tourmaline is also said to increase physical vitality,
emotional stability, and intellectual acuity. Black Tourmaline purifies.
Black Tourmaline is said to stimulate the reflex points associated with the
lower back. Black Tourmaline can be used in the treatment of arthritis,
anxiety, and disorientation. Black Tourmaline is also known to be used for
stimulation of and balancing of adrenal glands. Tourmaline is included, is good
for many wonderful things! Tourmaline is good for diminishing fears,
encouraging self-confidence. The shamen among African, Native American and
Aboriginal tribes thought that Tourmaline brought healing powers to the
users. African shamen used tourmaline to awaken from the "dream of
illusion" and to experience the self as a part of the Universal
Spirit.

As with all of my pendant creations, the backs are open to the skin. Always solid Sterling Silver, never cheap silver-filled wire. With 100% positive feedback, I have been selling on eBay since Feb. 2002.

Ancient Practices:
Pendants are reminiscent of ancient amulets, talismans, charms and mojo bags worn to protect the wearer from harm and/or bring good fortune.

I have no medical evidence to substantiate the correlation between wearing this stone and the effects it will have on the wearer. The mystical healing properties offered above were partially paraphrased from one of a series of books by Melody. Melody suggests that the metaphysical properties listed for each stone will have these effects on the wearer WHILE he/she concentrates on the desired outcome. The author further states that this is NOT a substitute for consulting your physician; and I agree. When I wear any of my stones or crystals, I feel empowered by them. Maybe it is just because I WEAR them with specific intentions -- it works because I told my mind it would, OR does it work because of the molecular interaction between my body and the stones/crystals? I do not know. All I know is it seems to work FOR ME.
I tried many photos. Maybe the ones I have chosen to present can give you some idea of the pendant's presence. I hope they do. There are several backgrounds, etc.) - same pendant, just different photos. (Sorry, any chokers/chains I used for photos are not included in the auction.) Please note that I do not use professional lighting with my indoor photos. They are just digital camera photos. The Sterling Silver is ALL bright and shiny.
