The Kangxi Character Dictionary was compiled by the imperial editorship of the Kangxi Emperor of the Qing Dynasty as a compilation of character books from successive dynasties after the Han Dynasty's "Explanation of the Literary Texts".


In Japan, reprints of the Kangxi Glyphs have been preserved since the Edo period.


This one seems to have been reprinted in the Meiji era.

Hand size.

Approximately 4.5 inches in height

Width about 3 inches

Depth about 1.5 inches.

The book is in fairly poor condition. The cover is torn.

There are stains and spots. Some pages are torn.
