LE PASSANT

A beautifully crafted edition of Francois Coppee's 1864 one-act comedy, which provided an early starring role for the most famous actress of her day, Sarah Bernhardt.

This edition was published by Librairie des Amateurs, Paris, in 1920. It features several color plates and calligraphy by French artist Henri Malatesta. This is #330 of a limited edition. The book was rebound by Semet and Plumelle in 3/4 leather with ribbed spine and marbled endpapers.

The covers are somewhat warped (second-to-last photo) and have minor wear at the edges and spine gutters. The text is firmly bound, and the pages show few signs of age or handling, no serious flaws.

A rare collector's item, made even more valuable by the fine binding.

Measures 5" X 7", about 50 pages. Ships promptly & securely.
