A sepia pen and ink drawing by listed artist Ron Olley. 

It depicts a London tavern, the Manor Tavern in Chiswick, once found on the corner of Ashbourne Grove and Devonshire Road, owned by Gordon Ramsey for a time, then renamed The Devonshire.  Closed and demolished to make way for housing in 2014. 

Titled, signed and dated lower left 'R. Olly 78 Manor Tavern Chiswick'. 

Drawn on paper which has been laid to a complementary coloured card.   In excellent condition, would frame well if required.

Measures 25.5 x 30.5cm including the card, the painting only is 20 x 25cm.

Ron Olley (full name Owen Ronald Olley) was a painter and etcher, born in Bristol.  He studied at Harrow School of Art in the late 1930s and again in the 40s, service with the 8th Army in the Middle East and Italy intervening.  Also studied at the Central School of Art 1948-1951.  Olley exhibited at the Royal Academy, the Rowley and Archer Galleries and at Duncan Campbell where he had a one man show in 2004-5.   He painted portraits and figure compositions, sporting scenes (mostly racing and boxing), landscapes and battle scenes.  Also an etcher of London and Continental landscapes.  Olley's biography appears in Buckman's Dictionary of Artists in Britain since 1945 and there are a number of auction listings for his work.
