Not only were its founding members boating enthusiasts but celebrated theatrical people as well. At the turn of the century, the village of Fair Haven was known as the place 'on the beautiful Shrewsbury where Broadway comes to rest after a hard season of playing the boards.

THE CLUB’S RAISED FLAG PROMINENTLY DECORATES THE PLATE RIGHT IN THE CENTER. THIS PLATE IS A VERY GENEROUS SIZE. OF COURSE YOU CAN USE IT FOR SERVING BUT I THINK IT SHOULD BE PREPARED WITH A PLATE HANGER AND HUNG IN A VERY PROMINENT PLACE FOR OTHERS TO ADMIRE. THE CLUB STILL EXISTS AFTER ALL THESE YEARS SO I AM PRESUMING THAT THIS PLATE WAS MADE IN 1985. IF YOU ARE OR WERE A MEMBER OF THE CLUB, THIS PLATE IS A MUST HAVE. Approximately 10 3/4" in diameter. The weight is just over 1 pound 10 oz. The completed carton will ship USPS insured Priority or Ground Advantage at the 3 pound rate.
