A low mileage, immaculately presented SL in a fantastic colour combination. The body, bulkhead and underside are rust free throughout.
An unmarked colour coded hard top is included with the car which is currently in storage.

The odometer, backed up by steadily increasing MOT's shows 60,003 miles. I committed the cardinal sin of any car dealer by watching the odometer click over 59,999 miles, arguably with a big grin on my face! DVLA records show the car having only 5 total keepers, (one for 3 weeks in August 2008, possibly registered to a dealer) The previous owner enjoying it for the last 16 years, due to being part of a collection it only got to see a few hundred miles a year on the road.
It starts briskly and immediately falls to idle, the engine runs smoothly and pulls very. The gearbox shifts up and down the cogs swiftly and smoothly. I've owned both 6cyl and V8 SL's and personally find the straight six provides ample performance that suits the driving style well with the welcome benefit of surprisingly good fuel economy. The original service book is present with stamps from 1985 though 1994 and some recent services since. The previous owner is a farmer and his collection was looked after by his employees so although very well cared for there are not many garage invoices for servicing in his ownership.
The diamond blue metallic paint looks original throughout, and is pretty much unmarked on every panel. The chrome work is free from corrosion and dents and only has very little pitting in a couple of spots. The interior defies it's age with very little wear throughout. The seats are trimmed with un-worn MBTEX cloth to the centre sections and the leather outers have only very slight creasing. All of the wood is in good order, and the carpeting in the cabin and boot in in amazing condition.
The hood fabric is unmarked with crease free windows, a colour coded hard top is supplied with the car but is currently tucked away in storage.
I strive to accurately describe a cars condition, it was hard to find fault anywhere on this one, there's a patch of corrosion in the spare wheel well, a handful of parking dents on the doors and arguably electric windows would be nice!
