Up for bid in this auction is the pictured 1949 model year Hamilton Gents 14/0 sized Caliber 982 M or “Medallion” with fancy damaskeening that the normal 982 did not have. The movement is missing both the winding gears, the mainspring and the barrel. The movement cannot tick much without a mainspring and this one also has a broken balance staff problem. The dial measures about 18.2mm wide by about 22.7mm long and is for FRANKLIN and KEITH Hamilton models best I can figure by studying the Hamilton book (by Rondeau). All of the applied gold markers are present on the dial. The serial number of this movement is: M181837. NO RESERVE!!
