No serial number. According to an overseas expert in vintage Chanel appraisal, Chanel started putting serial seals on bags as a countermeasure against counterfeit products in 1984. Since it was limited, some Chanel bags manufactured and sold this year have serial seals and some that do not. The bag in the auction is the only one without a serial seal. This means that the bag in the exhibit is one of the products without a seal.
The bag was purchased from an authorized dealer who obtained an antique dealer's license and authenticated the product's authenticity.
