I've made this primitive rabbit from osnaburg (a rustic cotton fabric). He's partially rag stuffed (with my fabric scraps) and painted black, then sanded and aged / grunged with strong coffee.

This bunny is 21" tall head to toe, and about 23" with his ears bent a bit as shown; if his ears were straight up, he'd be about 29" tall.

I've added a few stitches on each paw to resemble toes. I love adding small details like this!

He's wearing red and black plaid homespun overalls and holds a primitive carrot, also handmade by me.

I've signed and dated this rabbit on his back, just below the top of his overalls.

I need to mention that bunny's left ear has a small issue. I use wire in the ears to make them bendable; the wire is glued into the doll's head. Apparently the wet grunging process "melted" the glue and the wire in his left ear has pulled  out of his head. The ear still bends, but it does droop a bit and will never be as "perky" as the other ear. Because of this, this doll is being sold "AS IS." I think he's still perfectly lovable!
