1970 Rover P5B Coupe 3.5 Auto. Very solid car showing 30997 miles. Its all been cleaned back and painted underneath and is a very solid example. We have the current V5 but no history with it. It starts runs and drives but has not been used for a few years so may need an element of recommissioning.
Body - Rover P5B Coupe. Last owner has restored the car at some point. All the underneath was stripped back and cleaned and painted dark blue. Its a bit lighter than the body colour, but it lets you see how solid the car is. Their is evidence of a few repairs, but in the main a very very solid old car, which if looked after wont need looked at structurally for years to come. Paintwork is very tidy with only a few minor marks. Bumpers and chrome are not perfect but are useable. Overall its a very good looking car. Not a show winner but if it was it would probably be twice the price of this one.
Mechanics - Car starts, runs and drives. Original air filter set up was missing so we have ordered a set of K and N filters as we couldnt find originals. It runs and drives well and gearbox and brakes work as they should. Not sure when it was restored but it looks like a lkot of new parts were fitted at that time. Calipers, fuel lines, brake lines etc all look reasonably fresh. As with any old car thats not been used for a while there will be an element of tinkering needing done as you go. If your handy with the spanners and know your way round a car then its a good prospect. If you just want to buy it to beat the ULEZ and dont know how to change a brake light bulb then its probably not the one for you.
Interior - Seats have been retrimmed in a two tone blue which is not original and might divide the crowd. They are in fairly good order but there is a small tear on drivers bolster. Dashboard is in good order as are the door cards and headlining.
Wheels - Original Rostyle type wheels. Chrome is fairly good but black centres would benefit from being redone. Tyres are good.
Tidy old car which someone has spent a small fortune on a few years back. You are more than welcome to come and see the car. We have a ramp so you can look underneath. Delivery can be arranged if required. Please ask for a quote.
