Les Paul & Mary Ford memorabilia to include:

• Les Paul signed Iridium Restaurant & Jazz Club postcard, hand-signed by Paul "To Tony - Howdy - Les Paul" in black marker pen to the reverse side. Les Paul would frequently perform at the club as part of the Les Paul Trio from 1995 until his death in 2009. The front side of the postcard has a calendar with listings of performances.

• Mary Ford signed b/w glossy photo depicting her with Les Paul, hand-signed by Ford in blue ink - please note that Les Paul has also hand-signed the photo, but most of the ink hasn't taken well and worn-off, with a slight impression noticeable under direct natural light. The ink on Ford's autograph also has some smudging and wear (see photos).

• An original 1951 10" vinyl press of Les Paul with Mary Ford 'The New Sound Vol. 2", released through Capitol Records.

Provenance:

The Les Paul signed Iridium postcard and vinyl were purchased through Omega Auctions, where they originally came from the collection of Tony Prince.

Tony Prince is formerly a British radio disc jockey who broadcast on Radio Caroline and Radio Luxembourg in the 1960's/70's, before later becoming a programme director and businessman, responsible for establishing the remix label DMC.

Condition:

The Les Paul signed postcard has some crease marks, edge wear and a surface residue mark on one side. The signed side has some very slight foxing. Size is approx. 6"x4.25" inches.

As well as the afore-mentioned smudging on the autograph, the Mary Ford signed photo has some corner/edge creasing, and a small nick on the right hand edge. Size is approx. 5.5"x7".

The vinyl comes in a hard card sleeve that has quite a bit of wear and tear - the sleeve has worn through/split along the top edge and partially down the spine, a sticker mark on the reverse, as well as surface marks/foxing and tanning common with an item of this age. The vinyl also has a fair amount of scratching on both sides. Please note the vinyl is untested and is being sold purely as a piece of memorabilia. Size of sleeve is approx. 10" x 10.25" inches.
