You are purchasing a RARE Matched Pair of prototype 8 Ohm Peavey Sheffield JSX 12" guitar speakers, circa 2005. Made in the USA, these speakers were saved as test standards by a design engineer at Peavey way back when they were first released for use in the JSX 212 Combo. These were accidentally developed for Joe Satriani while he was on tour using Sheffield XXX speakers in 412 cabs. The factory inadvertently factory made a run of the Sheffield XXX speakers with the cone/spider assemblies from the Sheffield 1200 EVH speakers. The result was a stout sensitivity and nearly 100W power handling with more cone breakup than the XXX. These are phenomenal sounding speakers in every way....there's nothing else like them available anywhere. If a Celestion Greenback and Electro-Voice EV12Lever had a baby, this would be it.
