An Austrian 1914 WW1 wool tunic for a mounted Uhlan regiment featuring a denim blue single-breasted jacket with a high stand collar faced in scarlet. There are plain domed white metal buttons to the front and the jacket is edged to the front with red piping as are the lower edges to all four front scalloped pockets. The tunic was called an uhlanka in the uhlan regiments. The distinctive blue and red uniforms were part of the Uhlans unit pride. There were some tiny moth holes on the right breast pocket that have been darned.  I have cleaned and all staining is gone but there is some white discoloration on the bottom of the right side which I show in the photos. It is in as found condition right now with no musty smells, rips, or tears just the moth holes and fraying to the piping in areas on the edges of jacket. Chest is 38", waist 38", hips 40", length 25".
