This is a wonderful PAIR of superb Mid Century wall light sconces, which are made in gold coloured metal, and have pull cord on/off switches making them ideal for mounting on the wall behind a bed. They also have red plastic collars under the faceted glass cone shades. 

Superbly French but also with a strong Mid Century Modern vibe, from an era when lighting and futuristic design were the epitome of post-war era home style. They will look stunning in any well designed room providing a point of interest even in daylight when not lit up. Ideal for the wall behind your bed, in some alcoves in a lounge room or even in a bathroom by the mirror.  

The ideal gift for anyone with a love of French MCM style and a fantastic decorators piece and could be the perfect prop for a period theatrical production.

In VERY GOOD vintage condition, with only minor signs of age, including some light pitting to the metal surfaces on the back of the wall plates and inside the shade bracket so it won't show when they are in place. There are also some, barely visible tiny nibbles on the rim of one of the shades. As you can see they are currently working. You will need either a professional electrician or a confident DIYer to fix them in your desired location, it will be up to them to get them working there. If you have any concerns about safety you should get them professionally tested after fitting too. They were designed to be used with a European 220/240 volt domestic power circuit, so if you are from a country with 120 volt mains (like USA for example) they may need adapting.
