This piece was hand made with real pearls, a vintage orange glass bead and metallic gold thread on embroidered dupioni silk. The spider has a glass body and real pearl cephalothorax and legs. It also has irredescent Swarovski beads glittering on the web and flowers, like morning dew. The web is laid-gold work in the Elizabethan style.

Dupioni silk is known for it's variations in color and slubs in the weave. This particular pink silk is beautifully embroidered with chenille details in pink, red, gold and green.

This piece is framed and signed. The black woodgrain textured frame is a 4" X 6" picture frame with outside dimensions of 5" X 7". It has a folding stand for tabletop display as well as a metal ring for hanging.
