Workshop tip:

• Clean the fork very thoroughly by dismantling the fork completely and rinsing all parts thoroughly. We recommend the cleaner for cleaning MAXIMA SUSPENSION CLEAN
• Dry the parts thoroughly. There must be no solvent or cleaning agent residues in the fork components. 
• Use high-quality fork oil as this is also very important for the running properties. We recommend the fork oil RACING FORK FLUID by MAXIMA.
• They use the S-TECH PREMIUM bushings together with those that also optimize the friction value SKF Simmerring kits to achieve the best possible performance
• To lubricate the Simmerring, only use high-quality silicone-based grease (e.g. ours Tower silon). No lubricating greases (e.g. bearing grease)! If there is no high-quality silicone grease available, just dip the oil seals in the fork oil before assembly for lubrication.
• If possible, also use additives to improve the sliding properties such as HKS fork slide improver. Before assembly, apply the HKS in small quantities to the dust cap (coat the sliding surface), to the sealing ring (apply a thin layer to the grease pad) and to the sliding bushings. Also fill 5-10 ml into the fork oil, mix it and fill it into the fork (for closed cartridges only into the outer chamber).
• Apply a high-quality lubricant such as Fin Lube TF Spray to the inner tubes (chrome tubes) before assembly and polish them.
• If possible, polish the inner tubes thoroughly using a polishing paste and a fine abrasive fleece. For this purpose, clamping in a lathe and polishing using the cross-cutting process is suitable.
• The radial clearance on the bushing with the internal coating should not be greater than 0.15 mm. If this is larger, we recommend adjusting it using a feeler gauge tape.
