I studied at North Warwickshire college of art.
Painting portraits is one of the most challenging but rewarding processes you can undertake.
The trick is to retain a painterly look and produce a piece that is both a good 'painting' which is interesting to look at the for composition, brush strokes, AND still retain the likeness, and even hopefully, capture the very essence of who they are and what their work has meant to you over the many years.
