TEXT TO WORK

“It’s strange this way we all have to wait. Before you die could be the title of every life. We show up with our little four-cent tools and we wait. Later I'll do that, then eventually I'll do nothing. We often get our feet stuck in the carpet and spend our time dragging the dust underneath. Adventure is first of all about putting an end to preconceived and limiting ideas and thoughts. Creating comes from the grace of God, I heard again just this evening. A text is god. The word is god. To dare something is god. We owe him everything. We can therefore try anything in his name. What are you doing ? And war is god? Are bombs god? If we judge, we can't do anything. Nor create. Nor undertake. Nor risk anything. As soon as we launch into the assault on reality, the ground trembles and cracks. Let's say I die, I don't want my work framed. I don't want people to sugarcoat these things. I say that as if my works were intended to one day be exhibited & collected post-mortem. For the moment, I only see this solution or nothing, which is why I am concerned about the testamentary consequences. I have this concern about the value transferred. I don't have any other concerns I think. I have nothing to say about the works produced, whether mine or those of others. What has been said has been said. To speak on what has already been said is necessarily to go astray. To say is to express the thing in one way or another. I am silent. I wait. Waiting becomes the norm again. I have this for sale today, not tomorrow, not after. I'm not trying to be like others. I just do what I have to do. Until now, I have managed to eat with what could be described as rudimentary means. Living from your works is something else. I remember, in college, in third grade, the French teacher gave us a topic for an essay. I had completed this work with the feeling of having accomplished my duty. When she in turn returns the copies, we called them yes copies, she starts with the lowest grade. It starts with my copy. Well Patrick, what happened to you, I gave you one out of twenty for paper and ink. You are completely off-topic, on the other hand, I enjoyed reading you, because your copy is very well written and interesting to read. What a shame you didn't follow the topic's recommendation. I remember this episode of existence as a object lesson in reverse. Writing is not about following a subject. I was off-topic and proud of it, but I was ashamed of such a dismal grade. Already there, no one wanted to buy my production. Tracing your path involves taking the risk of isolation and decay. No one can walk our path for us. The copy does not exist. To copy is necessarily to deceive and delude oneself. In the copy, something doesn't fit at all, it's precisely the text, the voice, the path to follow. » ©PN
