Gibson Firebird - 1976 'Bicentennial'

I purchased this guitar in 2015.

I am the third owner. The first owner had the finish removed, the second had the beautiful refinish done by Piers Crocker. Never had a neck break

In the 80's the pickups were replaced with the Gibson 'Tim Shaw' PAF humbuckers. These were the first PAF reissue humbuckers. Great tone.

Never played a guitar that has such low and easy action as this.

Original hardware and pots.

Frets are low from this era out of the factory (Google ‘fretless wonders’ - nickname for the low frets of this era I believe). however still in good condition, plays very well.

Recent professional setup/check up last year, set with 11-49's. Truss rod functioning well.

Includes original 70’s case, but also this 90's one which keeps it much safer

Any further photos/questions from those genuinely interested welcome.

$4k price firm. I’ve added to the price the seller fee. Contact me to arrange the sale and not pay that fee. Located in Newcastle. Pickup only. Cheers
